North Port, located in the southern area of Sarasota County, is handy to both Interstate 75 and the Gulf of Mexico. The fast-growing area is the fifth largest city in the state, by land mass.

North Port is an ideal community for those in search of larger tracts of land. There are many larger homesites within an area known as the Estates, east of I-75. Condominiums, gated communities, and a variety of neighborhoods offer home choices in one of the broadest price ranges in Florida.

New North Port High School is home to a state-of-the-art auditorium — the North Port Performing Arts Center, site of a variety of entertainment events throughout the year and home to the North Port Orchestra and other musical groups. Several other new schools are being built and in the planning stages to keep up with population growth. North Port schools are part of the top-rated Sarasota County School District.

Several new golfing communities plus other courses offer plenty of "drive" time. Fishing is a popular pastime in North Port's many lakes and waterways as well as in the Gulf of Mexico just 20 minutes away.

Major stores and restaurants have opened in North Port in recent years and the city has new government buildings and other community facilities, including a large, well-attended library.
